Goleta-based public transit technology company CHK America announced that it had spun off its digital products division into a new entity called Connectpoint. President and CEO Rick Wood will remain as head of both companies, CHK said in a news release Sept. 19. Digital bus stop and interactive wayfinding kiosks under the Connectpoint brand are in use by 18 transit agencies in 12 states, the company said.
